The easy ways to lose weight04.17.2007
A team of Australian dietitians has led a survey at the University of New South Wales to find the most easy ways of losing weight. The research covered 45 obese ladies who were practicing 8 seconds of sprinting on a training bike and 20 minutes of slow rotation of the pedals.
Another group of women practiced a non-stop pacing for 40 minutes. As a result the first group of patients burnt fat off the legs and hips over the 15 weeks of the experiment.
The research leader Dr Boutcher claimed that this positive tendency was the result of body chemicals called catecholamines which are secreted in vast amount during the physical activity. The main catecholamines are adrenalin and noradrenalin, they make the fat stores to break down.
It goes without saying that the study must be thoroughly analyzed before making any conclusions, but some discussions of it have already emerged. It is suggested that the idea of combining high-intensity and low-intensity exercise can be applied to any other physical activity like walking, jogging and other sports. So, from a realistic point of view some hesitation must be present that fat people will sustain such an extreme exercise treatment without regulation. Eight seconds fast running, 12 seconds off for twenty minutes is a harsh exercise practice for anybody.
Others state that this type of intermission training for weight burn is not so original. Interval training is when you train stiff for a small time, take a break, then go on with the high intensity exercise. You regularly do this for fewer times than a more sustained, moderate workout. It has to be less because it is tough effort. Yet others state that the amount of calories spent is the answer to growing slender, not the way you spend them. Shortcuts usually lead to nowhere.
Interval exercise in a fat burn program still has its virtues. In fact, if you combine weights with an aerobic calisthenics you could encompass the best mixture of all to burn off fat and preserve muscle at the same time. Severely aerobic, cardio type workouts have a restriction because muscle is prone to burn with the fat, and keeping up or growing muscle should be one of your main targets.
A route program is one in which you continuously move from exercise to exercise rapidly in order to make best use of the amount and diversity of the exercises. The famous franchise Curves exploits this rule with training machines. Composing interval training and circuit training, including weights and cardio, gives the best result for general physical condition and fat burning process.
